Ross practices in the areas of estate planning, estate administration, business succession, estate litigation and Medicaid planning. Ross’ extensive trial experience includes civil, criminal and estate litigation. He has litigated several homicide and death penalty cases, but presently engages only in estate litigation, including guardianships. Ross handles estate administration in Crawford, Erie, Venango and Mercer Counties.
Ross and his wife, Libby, began their law practices in 1994 as the fourth generation in Ross’ family’s law firm. They later co-founded the Law Firm of Prather, Prather & Higgins, and Libby now teaches third grade. Their two sons live and work in Meadville, and their daughter serves in the 82nd Airborne Infantry Division of the US Army. Ross has a background and continuing interest in education, and has served several terms on the Crawford Central School Board. Ross enjoys long distance running, and has competed in over 20 marathons, including the Boston Marathon.
